Forensics Invades BPHS

On February 22, Belle Plaine High School hosted the Annual Forensics meet. Belle Plaine Forensics students helped participate in setting up, running and cleaning up for the forensics meet.

A meet consists of several rooms where students go in and perform. A few of these rooms are Speech, Solo Acting, IDA (Informative Duet Acting) and 27 letter alphabets. “My favorite event to perform would have to be Informative Duet Acting," says Matthew Flaming, sr.

According to several of the people, being in forensics is an excellent way to be yourself. Forensics this year is now only a club and not a class anymore. “”Things are a lot harder to get done, but it sort of helps kids be a little more responsible,” says Jamie Crelley, jr. “At the home tournament while we were waiting for our final results, a group of kids got up and started singing and dancing. Eventually everyone else got up and joined in.”

Although only a club and not a class, forensics still looks good on applications and is a great club for people who love to socialize.
