Belle Plaine FBLA Fights for State

In the small town of Canta/Galva, the Belle Plaine FBLA Chapter competed against schools from all across southern Kansas for bragging rights along with a chance at State, and eventually, National competition. The team of 24 members participated in competition that consisted of about 40 different tests, ranging in subject from Accounting to Cyber Security. “I was very surprised by the number of people who wanted to join FBLA in the first place. Last year, Mr. Zimmer only had 6 kids in FBLA. I had almost 40,” said Mr. McDonald, sponsoring teacher of FBLA this year, who wasn’t able to make it to competition due to a family emergency. Here’s a hint: Mr. McDonald became a proud father February 4. All but free of stress from the competition, the Belle Plaine Chapter remains confident that results will show their abilities.

So, it's off to State competition for the Belle Plaine FBLA Chapter. First, though, they need to raise the necessary funds to go. As a member of the Chapter myself I personally urge you to help out whenever a fundraiser arises.
