BAD Assembly Honors Students' Work
The annual B.A.D. assembly was held on the 13th of January. With shortened classes, all students were released from their fourth block class and attended the assembly at the end of the day.
Teachers put on small skits for the students, which included a race and eating contest in which Mr. Roderick wolfed down jalapeños; some singing from Mrs. Curtis, Mrs. Kimball, and Mr. Clark. A small model show was held where Mr. McDonald, Mr. Brittingham, and Mr. Mohr dressed as women to compete for the “top model”. Mr. Zimmer also went on a workout to “lose” over 100 pounds.
Many of the skits were parodies of television shows like American Idol, America’s Next Top Model, and The Biggest Loser.
Students were awarded for their academic excellence in school and were given prizes for doing well on state assessments, GPA, no tardies, and perfect attendance.
